Just for the record, Tranmere won the Liverpool Senior Cup Final tonight, defeating Everton 2-1.
Tranmere's first win since 1995, and a reversal of the 2007 final. Everton's second successive defeat in the final, having lost to Southport last year.
Are the league sides taking part largely reserves?
And how many of the Senior Cups involve both league and non-league sides?
I understand the Manchester Senior Cup is limited to league clubs, while others, such as London and Hampshire, are entirely non-league.
A mix of league and non-league sides (even if the league sides are reserves) seems more interesting to me. The Lancashire Senior Cup looks good in that respect, covering a wider geographical region that includes both Liverpool and Manchester.
