On a serious note (sorry, I know it's the silly season), having read the Non League Daily article.....WHAT A LOAD OF TWADDLE!! Is it April 1st? All that this "visionary chairman" is going to do is alienate the remaining 100 or so die hard fans by removing the last semblance of a connection with the original club. He will realise soon enough that for all the money he is apparently throwing at this, Leigh is not a football town. Ask Warrington Town/St Helen's Town etc officials how hard it is to generate support.
I give him 12 months before he leaves what's left of the club inb the lurch.

In Wimbledon's case, since they like to claim to be a continuation of the original club, how about Wimbledon Status Quo?

The Acts of this chairman will only lead to Lamentations. He Judges the time is right to do this, but he will have a big Job to convince sufficient Numbers of Leigh residents to turn up to make it viable.
