I'm completely devastated by Tony's passing, even though it's been expected and I thought I was prepared for it. My heartfelt wishes are extended to Tony's nearest and dearest in this time of sadness. In a way, I'm kind of glad that Tony's sufferings have been ended, his travails with that illness I'd not wish upon my worst enemy... but there's a Tony-shaped hole forever chipped out of my soul and that will never be filled. I do not think that Tony would have wished for his normally merry coterie here on the Message board to mope about over his passing for too long, so I must manfully raise myself up by my bootstraps and soldier on, treasuring his memory, anecdotes and the like and eventually remember knowing this great man with joy. I hope everyone else who has ever beentouched by Tony's generosity, acumen, common sense, wit and wisdom - particularly in these hallowed pages - will find their own catharsis in similar vein. Goodnight Tony, sleep the sleep of the just my friend.
I APOLOGISE UNRESERVEDLY TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THIS FORUM WHO HAS FELT LET-DOWN BY MY INIMICABLE AND DEPLORABLE BEHAVIOUR OF OCTOBER 28th. 2009. ESPECIALLY TO BRIAN, WHO IS A MARVELLOUS GENTLEMAN AND IS THE LAST PERSON HERE WHO SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SUCH UNDESERVED PERSONAL CHARACTER-ASSASSINATION. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT A PRIVATE PERSONAL APOLOGY WAS SENT, BUT WAS SEEN INSUFFICIENT. FAIR ENOUGH.
