All NCEL clubs have been informed by the league that Brodsworth have resigned . We at Nostell played them in a friendly on tuesday (2nd Aug) they told us that they were running out of time! This year was there centenery, a sad day for football!!

Now confirmed on NCEL website. Division 1 constitution also adjusted to 20 clubs.
It says they were left without a ground after Featherstone Rovers withdrew their offer of a groundshare.

While it's a shame to see any kind of club fold, to be fair though the club celebrating its centenary is surely the one who still exist, play in Brodsworth and are in the Donny Senior League next season. The one who've withdrawn from the NCEL would to all intents & purposes have no connection with the traditional Brodsworth Welfare club, and most likely have changed their name to Featherstone in a year's time.

Their last league win was on Saturday 8th April 2009 at home to Liversedge.

Their last away league win was on Saturday 11th October 2008 away at Armthorpe!
