Now with even fewer clubs than last season since Halesowen have joined the list of clubs to turn their backs on the competition.

I'd like to thing that Stour will join that number next season but seems unlikely.

Last new ground (804): Kingsley Sports Centre - Kingfisher v Stourbridge Ladies 9/9/18
Last game: as above
Football seen in: England, Wales, Scotland, Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Croatia, Jersey, Sweden, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland, United States of America, Ukraine, Montenegro, Estonia, San Marino, Slovenia, Northern Ireland, Malta, Lithuania, Russia

Stourbridge 1 Worcester City 0
Att. 435

Final - Stourbridge v Kidderminster Harriers

Date (or dates) and venue(s) to be confirmed. Rumours of one-off match at Aggborough. If so, "Hmpphhh!!" would be my comment.

Good - second time this has happened after the Willenhall debacle in the Birmingham Senior Cup in 2006!

Note to all that kick off is 7.30pm.

Now postponed "by mutual consent" and to be held over until pre-season 2012/13. Will be played at Aggborough on a date to be arranged.

Both clubs still in with a play-off shout as of today. Conceivable that Stour's chances may evaporate this weekend, but Kiddy's will definitely still be alive after Saturday come what may. My suspicion is that one club's consent was more "mutual" than the other's!

In reality this reduces the game to a sideshow of limited relevance. For pity's sake, this is a competition which requires FIVE WHOLE MATCHES to find a winner - how can it not be possible to shoehorn it into a nine-month window?

Additionally, as part of the deal which took Ryan Rowe to Kiddy in February, we should be having two pre-season friendlies in the next two seasons against Kiddy - everybody is assuming these were to be at Amblecote, but the expectation now is that the WSC final will replace one of these friendlies - thereby depriving Stour of some decent revenue. I hope I'm wrong.

Edit - only fair to update this and point out that SFC have confirmed that the two psf's will be played before the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.

Still not quite sure why a one off final has to be played at the ground of one of the finalists, thereby giving them an advantage. I'm happy to give Harriers a three goal start if they (and the Worcestershire FA) want the Trophy to end up at Aggborough so much.

I agree it will make more sense to play it as a pre season game. Not quite sure why I should get excited about pre season friendlies against Harriers - I'd much rather play Cheltenham again, and I would have thought that would have been much more attractive to most other supporters too. I know it's unlikely, but Stour may only be one division below Harriers next season.

Definitely coming round to DavetheGlassboy's thinking on this particular competition.

Final: Kidderminster Harriers 0 Stourbridge 1 played at Aggborough

We give them home advantage; we let them choose when the game is played; we sell them our best player; we let them have one of best defenders on loan - and still we beat them. Enough said.
