A word of warning to anyone planning a trip to Imperial Collge Old Boys, they cannot always use the 3G pitch.
This Saturday, for example, according to their Secretary, they are likely to be playing on "a grass pitch" unless QPR are not using the 3G for training

Imperial College OB apparently use the grass pitches most of the time and their Cup game this week is off due to frozen pitches

There's a 3g pitch in Prittlewell Chase Southend that local sides use for friendlies. I know Southend United have used it and today at 4pm Hullbridge play Great Wakering there in another friendly

Can I delete North Herts College Football Academy ? They are now Biggleswade T U 19's in the F C Y Alliance with no side in any other league ?

This is a topic quite close to my heart and I was thinking of trying to put just such a list together myself (but thankfully now don't need to! Cool

)

Out of interest, is the list "complete" or is it just clubs you know of personally? (Sorry for not knowing you're level of knowledge/expertise...only signed up here today! Blush

)

It is not complete as I have not included some at very low levels , teams that is . Schoolboys , Youth / 3rds/4ths etc.
Two locally to me are Crewe F C and Nantwich Town whose youths use their respective 3G's.
I consider it reasonably complete for first teams in English (inc Cornwall) Saturday football. Unless you or anyone knows different.
It's been added to by many different members.

Those who get too big for their britches will be exposed in the end.

I know of one that's not NORMALLY used for football but was this last weekend, but I suppose that would just confuse matters?

If you look at the ''Where are you going'' thread for last Saturday 11th there were many friendlies played at many different 3G.
See if it's there ?
If not alway's welcome on here but I poss won't add to main list.

At the time of posting is used by Ilford & District League side DM Utd. Is about halfway between Barking and East Ham London Underground Stations on the District Line (East Ham is slightly nearer by foot).
Buses 5, and 238 stop nearby near to the junction of Park Avenue and Barking Road (Europa Car Hire is close to the corner of Park Avenue). Bus routes 5 (can be caught from Newham Town Hall and bound for Romford Market) and 238 (much closer to East Ham Station and and bound for Barking Town Centre). Also these two buses can be caught from across the road from Barking Station (number 5 in the Canning Town direction and the 238 in the direction of Stratford. Another bus route, the 325, calls at the nearest location to this venue by going down to Park Avenue, but am unsure as to where this service can be picked up.

3G Pitch next door to The Middlesex Stadium Home of Hillingdon Borough in Breakspeare Road, Ruislip. Saw Broadfields United v Interwood play in The Middlesex County League. Not sure how often it is used for full Saturday matches or if this was a One Off.

Thamesmead Town have a 3G pitch which has been built as part of the re-development of the Bayliss Avenue site, it will be used for training and community, but I am not sure if Youth Team will play actual matches on it.

Also Maidstone United move into their new Gallagher Stadium soon, and it has a 5G pitch, FIFA approved and same standard as Spartak Moscow artificial surface on which England played a few years ago.

3G pitches arrive in the Kent County League this season.
Second Division West Side Halls AFC have now moved from Stone Recreation Ground a couple of miles up the road to use Dartford's Princes Park 3G pitch.

Just bumping to get up to date for 20121/13.
Not my forte prom/relegation , so any wrong leagues/name changes or indeed new 3/4/5/ 99+ pitches to be used regularly for league football please post.

A couple of changes in Plymouth & West Devon Combination - Novahomes FC play on a 3G pitch at Tor Bridge High, and Plymouth Spurs are an additional team at Plymstock School where Morley Rangers play. Good chance of finding a game in any weather in Plymouth now.
