Noticed that according to some media reports it is now emerging that the “Banning of the Band” may have more to do with an advertising stunt by their Sponsors Pukka Pies and infringement of UEFA’s marketing rights for the tournament rather than just a security issue of allowing their instruments into the Donbass Arena.
The official protest that has been issued by on behalf of the band is from …………Pukka Pies.

I would be glad to see the back of this talentless bunch of freeloaders. Out of tune, no timing or rythm. They've had their day - move on!

I never want to hear the "Great Escape" ever again.

Couldn't the same be said about most 'boys bands'?Wink

And now three ... what's wrong with a bit of atmosphere? There's little enough at games these days as it is.

Nothing, did you not read my post ?

Real atmosphere is common in the Bundesliga for example, and was there in spades at Shotts on Saturday as reported on here. No 'bands' required.

My mute button will become even less recognisable then. At what age does one become a Grumpy Old Man? I already find most television - including ALL adverts - infuriating, not to mention the ire I experience just getting the train to work!

I became one in my early teens.
Strangely what little TV I watch I find the adverts interesting, wish there were some on now instead of having to listen to the pundits at half time !
