You could look at the thread above yours (ATMIT) to see the current seasons fixtures and see when they started.
The sticky.
Could well start a few weeks later , but sure you will catch a game or two. The split of matches is shown for this season up above.

Soccerway is a good way of finding out how many clubs a city has. Click on each division and then venues and you'll get the stadium addresses and often pictures of the venues too.

The Ukrainian Super Cup (Equivalent of our Community Shield) is on 10 July. The season will start the weekend after this.

Had a recent conflab with Leo about various sites and 'Soccerway' was mentioned.
I have come to the conclusion that it should be used as a guide only.
Because of the ammount of leagues they cover info is not reliable (fixtures and venues).
Leo mentioned he'd looked at a country and found some venues incorrect , I know of many incorrect venues on the site but it is a decent guide and the photos are good.
Always look for whatever countries info you need on a local / FA website,I tried to do that when formulating last season's international fixtures on here.
Unlike 'Soccerway' , 'Goalzz' , etc local sites tend to update fixtures / venues more often.

Additionally, if I look at soccerway now for Ukraine, it tells me that the Supercup is on a Monday, and then all league fixtures are on Fridays. It should be Tuesday/Saturday. If I click on the calendar for Tuesday 10 July, it shows the Ukraine Super Cup, but says 9 July at the top of the page. this one day innacuracy is for fixtures without kick off times. Once they are fixed, the dates become correct.

I have reported this some time back, but they cannot even see the fault at their HQ!
Last season top division games in Ukraine were split between Saturday/Sunday with one Friday night game, and sometimes a Monday game as well. That makes it a good league for a hop trip - not certain whether visas come back in after the EUros though

You do not need a Visa for Ukraine if you intend on staying less than 90 days.

Went to Metalist v Everton in Kharkiv in 2007. Just looked at my passport - no mention of a Ukraine visa.

Went to BATE Borisov v Everton in Minsk in 2009 and did need a visa to go to Belarus.

A travel rep told me that Belarus and Russia are the only European countries requiring a visa. Is that correct - some of this forum's more experienced travellers may know better?

Depends what you are looking to do. I went to the Ukraine a few years ago on business and needed a visa then. From what others have said on here you may not need one for pleasure/tourism.

Indeed that's what it says on the link.
Needed one for pleasure/ tourism when I went in 2002 and only valid a month.
Can't remember how much it was but it was issued in London.

I might be wrong but I'm sure when they won the Eurovision Song Contest they scrapped the requirement for a Visa.

I often look on the Foreign Office website which gives you a lot of entry details i.e.Visa etc. They also do a lot of scaremongering as well but I suppose they are just making sure of what could go wrong when visiting different countries.

I'm hoping to visit Ukraine late July or early August 2013.

I am going to the Ukraine to coach football to orphan children and have done so for the last few years and i have never needed a visa.My orginal post was because we have a day free in Kiev on sat 28th July before we fly home on the sunday.I am desperate to find a game on the sat in Kiev but cant seem to find one.Dynamo seem to be at home that weekend but on a friday and i cant do friday as still at the camp coaching.Arsenal Kiev and Obolon Kiev are away from home. Are there any other teams in Kiev? also have emailed Dynamo Kiev but i have had no reply yet (probably a bit busy at moment ) regards the fri night game.If anyone could help that would be great as if i can find a game in Kiev on the sat it would finish off a great week.
