"Legendary coach and kit man" who served Aberdeen FC for 49 years. So highly regarded was he that Alex Ferguson took a full strength Manchester United team to play Aberdeen in Teddy's testimonial match in 1999.

The story is recounted how Aberdeen arrived in Sion for a European tie with the wrong socks. Ferguson went ballistic ..."that bloody Ted Scott ...he's getting sacked!" Gordon Strachan replied "Aye, and you'll need 10 people to replace him!"

You beat me to it...happened to be up in Scotland at the weekend, I'd never heard of him, but his obits in the papers were amazing!
