Re Newborough -
After weeks of meetings and conversations the re-introduction of the 9 times Anglesey League champions Newborough FC was rubber stamped at the KON-X leagues’ AGM last Friday night at Llangefni Town Football Club by a unanimous vote in favour.
This is another piece of good news which has followed the club since the clubs’ Sunday league cup win back in April. Following the cup triumph the club had negotiated a 10 year lease with Mr Iolo Owen for a field at the heart of the village on land at Ty Lawr.
This agreement has come too late in order for the ground to be ready for the upcoming 2012/13 season, however all endeavours will be made for the ground to meet the requirements for the Anglesey League by the following season. For next season NFC shall be ground sharing with FC Bodorgan at their Cae Cob base in Malltraeth.
