Harold Hill was a thriving club back in the mid-sixties, until
the head barman/treasurer decided to do the off with one of
the barmaids, taking all the club's cash with them!

Still played on up until the early 90s but is now a hardly used
kid's play ground.

You can still make out the mound where the covered side used
to extend the length of the pitch.

Play-off programmes wanted: 2004 Basingstoke v Lewes. 2005 Droylsden v Kettering, Maldon v Barking, Maldon v Uxbridge. 2006 Brackley v Marlow, Kendal v Stocksbridge. 2007 Paulton v Taunton, Tooting v Hastings. 2008 Didcot v Oxford City, Tooting v Worthing, Sheffield v Stocksbridge. 2009 East Thurrock v Concord, Ilkeston v Kendal, Nantwich v Guiseley, Stocksbridge v Carlton. 2014 Tiverton v Paulton. 2015 Darlington v Bamber Bridge.

FA Vase semis wanted: 1978 Barton v Hungerford. 2001 Taunton v Clitheroe.

FA Trophy programmes wanted: 1969-70 Any round from first season. Have many but plenty of gaps still to fill.

How about posting what you have too, it would help us know which clubs to look for.

Re: [Richard Rundle] Greater London League [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

The Reserve sides in 1968-69 were ....

Division 1 Byng Road Old Boys, Eastley Ath, Harold Hill, Met Police Reserves, Muirhead Sports and Social, Rolenmil. Canvey Island Reserevs, Epping Town Reserves, Eton Manor Reserves, Ford United Reserves, Highfield Reserves, Ulysses Reserves and Willesden Reserves.

Division Two ; Basildon United, British Ropes and Social Club, J & E Hall Sports, STC Athletic and Social Club ( New Southgate), Barkingside Reserves, Battersea United Reserves, Bexley Reserves, Chingford Reserves, East Ham United Reserves, Heathside Sports Reserves, Woodford Town Reserves, Slade Green Athletic Reserves.

At least that is who were due to start the season, I do not know if they all finished. Note the very start of Basildon United FC . At the time, Basildon Town were the bigger club !
