Friday Night Rugby Can't Post or Reply Privately

While Friday fixtures are commonplace and well publicised at the higher levels - Premiership, Championship, Pro 12 and cup competitions involving those sides - they are rare at the lower reaches and not always shown on fixture websites which still list the games for Saturday. Please post on here if you know of any changes. I'll start the ball rolling with three matches I know of:

20th November - Lichfield v Nuneaton - National League 3 Midlands - 2000

2016

22nd January - Sutton Coldfield v Market Drayton - National League 3 Midlands - 2000

19th February - Northampton Old Scouts v Wellingborough - Midlands 1 East - 1930

The latter two are both are returned favours after their first meetings were played on a Friday, Wellingborough last weekend.

The opposition is in fact Newport (Salop) RUFC. The reverse fixture Newport v Sutton was played on a Friday night because of World Cup games on the following Saturday, but the venue was switched to Market Drayton's ground as they had "better quality floodlights", apparently!

Some re-arranged Friday night matches in Wales during Six Nations:

5th February
Division 1 West Central - Seven Sisters v Trebanos

12th February
Championship - Llanharan v Bridgend Athletic - 1915
Division 2 West - Carmarthen Athletic v Penclawdd - 1930

This list may grow nearer those dates as a lot of rugby matches in Wales have been postponed this season. There are some more Friday night matches in March which I won't list just yet as I expect more fixtures to be added nearer the time.

19th February - Pro 12 - Glasgow Warriors v Munster @ Rugby Park, Kilmarnock.

This match has been moved due to concerns that the pitch at Scotstoun Stadium will still be unplayable due to the recent floods. It was originally due to take place on Saturday 20th with a 5:15pm kick-off.

England Counties XV is a representative team open to English players who play in the County Championship and Third Tier (National League One) or below at club level. You could call them rugby's equivalent of England C. I would guess France Federale is open to players below their top two divisions also. There is a Wikipedia page about the England Counties XV:
