Still awaiting a reply from you regarding evidence that Scotland would now be an independent nation if it wasn't for the English residents that voted against it. Luckily im not holding my breath as it goes back six months!

Really? Iím sure I provided it. Sorry youíve been waiting so long.

Iím sure whst said was the majority of Scots born voted for independence.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/...said-yes-z7v2mmhc8nt

I'm confused............2,002,000 people voted No ai the 2014 referendum.

Are you saying they were all English and Welsh?

I always thought there were only about 450,000 English living in Scotland.

How did I get that so wrong?

I realise Brexiteers don't do evidence, but do you have any evidence for that claim?

When you get me some meaningful evidence for your stupid little chart I'll consider but as far as I'm concerned a survey of 1060 people in a nation of 65,000,000 is NOT evidence.

Sorry ,pal, You really must do better!

52,7% of Scots-born voted for their country to be independent.

72.1% of people born in rUK voted against the people of Scotland having control of their own destiny.

LOL.

Youíre confused yet again. You clearly understand absolutely nothing about sampling methods. Didnít you ever study statistics!

Population ie electorate 45,000,000
Sample 1060
Confidence level 99%
Margin of error +/-4%

In other words, 99 times in 100 the result of a sample of 1060 out of a population of 45000000 with be within 4%age points of the true population figure.

So those who believe the nonsense Johnson has been telling them are between 9 and 17% of the population.

Link isn't doing the job on my phone but how many Scots living south of the border voted against it in polls? Well aware they didn't get a vote but interesting all the same, maybe for obvious reasons but tells its own story.

Iíve no idea and the figure is completely irrelevant.

Quite rightly, the referendum gave a vote to those who have chosen to live in Scotland and who were therefore directly affected. Scots who live furth of Scotland have chosen to leave Scotland and their future is unaffected by the referendum result.

And of course the likes of well known Scottish Nationist Sean Connery who lives in LA. How confused did he look the night he turned up at Monaco for a CL game against Rangers only to see the flags in the away end. Sorry off topic but it was classical, and then being jeered by 'his own' Sly

Polls are wrong too often and by a much bigger margin than pollsters care too admit..........

Which is why they called the result of the referendum wrong!!

Anyway, like I said, Leavers are more than happy with Johnson's actions.

It's the nuclear option just like the USA chose to employ to end WW" in the face of Japanese kamikaze tactics

Today we have the Remainer Kamikazes, lol!!

As has been said , there are lies, damned lies and statistics, LOL!

You have no way of knowing each individual non Scots born voter actually voted. No way whatsoever!

To even ask is at best Exclusivist and at worst effing Racist

Are you seriously suggesting Scots born voters are more relevant, important and more valid than other Scottish citizens?????

They didn't call the result of the referendum wrong. They predicted it would be too close to calland those approaching referendum day generally favoured Leave.

Over the last 13 days the polls averaged Remain 45% Leave 45.5% and Undecided 10.5%

Given a margin of error of around 3% and assuming the undecided fell proportionately for Remain and Leave then these polls were predicting Remain 46.7-52.7% Leave 47.3-53.3%. They said the result was too close to call and they were absolutely right

The real issue is the inability of people to understand what the polls are saying.

But going back to the figures which triggered this, the poll is in no doubt that only a tiny proportion of the population has fallen for Johnson's nonsense about the reason for proroguing Parliament.

This is the kind of thing which really illustrates your inability to carry out a sensible discussion.

Presnting raw facts about how Scots-born and non-Scots-born people actually voted is not racist. It is showing the results of academic research.

You are also incapable of viewing facts dispassionately. I make no value judgment on the facts, I simply state the facts. Nowhere do I suggest any group's votes are more valid than another. I am stating they voted differently. No more, no less.

Had you received a university education you might have been better able to hold a rational discussion and present a logical argument.

As it is, you do neither.

Says the guy he uses LOL like he's just posted something really clever ffs!

You're obviously rattled.

You are typical of the new breed of evangelical keyboard warrior who travels the internet selectively hunting down any scrap of dubious ' research' 'polling' or 'evidence' and presenting it as gospel.

I proved that your poll of 1060 people is a pathetic piece of material to lay out as 'evidence' and I explain that your 'academic' research is racially loaded and you attack me for pointing that which any one can see.

I asked you the question ' are you suggesting that scots born voters blah blah blah'
It's a question , not an accusation and you accuse me of not debating to your higher standards!!!

Btw, there is a long history of nationalist academic research in many countries over decades that I would say I am uncomfortable with. I am perfectly entitled to include your exclusivist/racist example in that .

I suggest you start presenting research that is of serious academic value if you intend to rely on it present a position or make a point and stop relying on shitty little polls and btw, you have on many occasions taken a statement I've posted and turned it back to me with the words ' So you are saying' ........
Did you really need to go to Uni to learn that technique because that is kindergarten debating tactics.

Anyway, good to know I've got you rattled. LOL, LOL, LOL
