What he couldn't see was some clubs wanted to be asked to do a bit off the pitch and wanted other clubs to have to as well . These clubs where prepared to travel to get a better standard off the pitch , even if the standard was the same on it .

That seems to be a big factor from speaking to club officials in my experience of why clubs go for the CML over county leagues. There's a perception that it's a more serious set up and that if clubs are all charging admission, producing programmes, paying for 3 officials etc, it's seen as a different type of commitment and some like that aspect of it, even if it's potentially more demanding on time and resources.

The CMFL is just better-organised overall. Fixtures-wise for example, they regularly update both their own website and the Full Time site with accurate details of rearrangements, postponements etc., alongside generally accurate details of clubs, grounds and the like.

The CSL will regularly throughout the season have fixtures listed on the Saturday morning to be played that afternoon with, for example, both SPS Reserves and Development sides listed as playing at home at the exact same time. On a day the first team are quite clearly playing at home. My nephew's not even two, and even he couldn't mess up that badly. That's just one example.

SPS Development play on a pitch across the road, and the reserves will often play before or after the first team - so all three SPS teams could play on the same day.

Which would be fine, if they weren't all listed at 3pm at Bracken Moor.

Aslckton & Orton have disappeared from the first suggested line ups. Is this an error?

覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧覧-
So from the first proposed constitution it looks like the CML N has lost Lincoln Moorlands Railway to the Lincs. League.
The CML S has gained Ashland Rovers (promoted from NSL 1) and Underwood Villa (laterally transferred from NSL P) but have lost both Aslockton & Orston and Eastwood Community Reserves to the NSL P in exchange.
Keyworth United seem to be missing altogether.
No doubt there値l be further changes with the key phrase being 壮ubject to appeals/finalisation by the FA.

Is there a proposed constitution for the NSL anywhere?

No mention of Radcliffe Olympic in the CML so presumably they are headed for the NSL.?

And still they snub Stafford Town - someone should have been moved from the Midland League into the EMCL to reprieve the county town team!

Or even Radcliffe Olympic!

Or Oakham United (via a Leicestershire club being transferred back to the EMCL)

What have these clubs done to warrant such ignorant decisions against them?

Oh so that's why they picked on Stafford Town is it, regardless of them finishing outside the relegation places? It was all in the name of rewarding success! Got it!

Well in that case what a "successful" restructure this has been! can't understand the pages and pages on how its been such a mess now!

The current restructure is a stepping stone. Which will lead to something that most clubs will hopefully be happy with. It痴 a matter of opinion as to whether Sherwood or Stafford deserves to be at step 6. Did Stafford get shafted? IMO, yes they did.

I would say so, without having checked to make certain. They lost one league game all season, on the final day, in what was seen as a winner takes all showdown against Eastwood.
I知 glad to see them up. I feel very sorry for Stafford Town who should not have been relegated, but their gripe should be against allowing a club from nowhere, like Hashtag United, into step six.

Midlands Regional Alliance champions Rowsley '86 have joined the CML - they've been placed in Division One South apparently.

That's a sideways step at best surely?

Did they try getting into the top divisions, ie promotion from Step 8 to Step 7?

I致e got a feeling that they can稚 do this anymore & that痴 one of the reasons the CML has two levels these days!
