I am in st Petersburg fir a week Brazil v Costa Rica and Nigeria v Argentina. I have match tickets but any tips on the area, etc
A six day trip with my other half and she isn’t fussed about Football but loves travel.

Where to start! Or more importantly to stop..
The Winter Palace & Hermitage - even if you're not an art fan, the archaeological part of the museum is fascinating too.
Peter and Paul Fortress - the old fortified centre of the city
The Cruiser Aurora - fired the shot that signalled the start of the October Revolution
Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ - colourful onion domes everywhere.
Peterhof - out of town but there'll be any number of excursions or you can get the metro & bus out there. There was a rather cool hydrofoil service form the city centre when I was there but that was nigh on 20 years ago.
