Replay crowds Can't Post or Reply Privately

Just been noting on the main FA Cup thread - I think every one of the FA Cup replay crowds was lower than the first match

Has there ever been an analysis of the difference between average crowds at weekends as opposed to midweek?

The figures for the 751 F.A. Cup Qualifying Round matches
of 2018-19 (including abandonments) are -

Total attendance/Total matches/Average

EP
22,820 181 126 (Fri/Sat/Sun)
5,837 41 142 (Mon/Tue/Wed) (+13%)
28,657 222 129 (Total)

PR
27,631 159 174
6,862 35 196 (+13%)
34,493 194 178

Q1
30,731 115 274 (+4%)
8,418 32 263
39,149 147 266

Q2
35,835 80 448 (+62%)
5,798 21 276
41,633 101 411

Q3
21,948 38 577 (+36%)
4,236 10 424
26,184 48 546

Q4
38,019 32 1,188 (+10%)
7,513 7 1,073
45,532 39 1,167

Totals of the six rounds
176,984 605 292
38,664 146 265
215,648 751 287

So the first two rounds have higher midweek attendances but thereafter weekend matches are more popular

Thanks for that JT - I suggest the weather/darker evenings come into play in the later rounds.
I was actually referring to attendance in general, principally league games.
I see from watching the German stuff which doesn't have many midweek rounds that they're generally much lower crowds in midweek games due partly to the difficulties away fans have in getting there and back on work-days

Fewer than a thousand Halifax fans bothered turning out for the Morecambe replay at The Shay. Was it the weather or another indication of the FA Cup's diminishing appeal? I considered going but, having watched it tip down all day, simply didn't fancy an hour's drive through heavy rain to sit in the cold. 282 was a good turn-out from Morecambe. Oh, and Windy (Borehamwood to Halifax via Parkgate and back on a foul day), whose sanity I admit to questioning.
