The FA clearly haven't seen the grounds of Holt or Stratton Juniors then. Doesn't worry me one bit, but I'm sure they are nowhere near Step 7.

Nice work by Frome Collegians - a good alternative to rejoining the Somerset County League at Step 10.

Shame to lose Devizes Town Reserves - longest standing members of the division, had just completed their 30th consecutive season in the Wiltshire League's top flight.

But glad to see the league has managed to attract some proper first teams at last. Two less reserves sides than started last season. Looking a bit healthier now.

PS Holt are playing out of Westbury United's ground.

Also good to see Wiltshire's largest conurbation at last having some representation after a while. Perhaps it's available pitches that has been the problem?

I'm sad at Devizes too as I lived there for years and know a few ex-players. Pretty sure Westbury saw the writing on the wall too and folded early. Does this now make the League FA-compliant?

The league was already compliant - the regulation about a maximum number of 25% reserve sides in a Step 7 division was dropped.

Just a quick note for those interested in hopping military bases...and probably doesn't belong here, strictly...but

Four Wilts League sides are playing away at MOD Lyneham versus 8th Training Battalion REME FC in pre-season friendlies
02/07 - Shrewton United
09/07 - Corsham Town Reserves
23/07 - RWBT Development
25/07 - Malmesbury Vics Development

I've been told that hoppers need to book in advance and bring ID. A tweet to the 8 Trg Bn REME FC Twitter feed should get things rolling

2019-20 Games: 9 Goals: 34 GPG: 3.78 New Grounds: 8

Yes, the league's website includes a report from the AGM of June 19 and refers merely to an FA recommendation, rather than a regulation, re 25% reserve teams.

The full article is here: https://www.wiltshireseniorleague.co.uk/2019-agm-outcome and also confirms the constitution. Premier division confirmed as per opening post:

1. Corsham Town FC Res
2. Cricklade Town FC
3. Frome Collegians FC
4. Holt FC
5. Kintbury Rangers FC
6. Ludgershall Sports FC
7. Malmesbury Victoria FC Development
8. Marlborough Town FC
9. Melksham Town FC Res
10. Pewsey Vale FC Development
11. Purton FC
12. Royal Wootton Bassett Town FC Development
13. Shrewton United FC
14. Stratton Juniors FC
15. Trowbridge Town FC
16. Wroughton FC

Season starts on August 17.
