I have come across a match in 1889 amongst a list of results in a cup competition. Whereas all the other ties have scorelines, including the drawn matches, this match has the letters (dra.) after one of the teams. I would expect wdn or scr, but wondered if anyone had seen this before and may know what dra stood for.

In horse racing during the victorian era, races were run in heats and if a horse dropped out after one of them, it would be listed in the newspaper result as 'drawn' (as in withdrawn), so possibly the same applies in your example?
