I've finally been shown how to put photos from disc to blog, beleive me I'm extremely 'technophobic', so this is no mean feat(!), and I've just started up a grounds photoblog.

There's not much on it, and it won't get updated too often, but it should grow as the summer progresses.

Anyone who wants a look can go to:

Thanks for allowing this unashamed advert!

Mishi - good snaps at both Chesham and Amersham - I played at Amersham in the 80s and it now looks much better than then! I also remember a year when Chesham got a good running together and played a side from a much higher division (Football league) in the FA Cup and - when looking to maxamise the attendance - found some terracing under a bank of earth! Is this one of those you snapped I wonder?

Think it may have been Cambridge United in 1979/80 season? I have the programme somewhere.

yes it was, i was there that day, it was a real struggle for Cambridge, the pitch was a mudbath, Roger Gibbons finally made the breakthough for cambridge who went on to win 2-0 and went out to villa in the next round.

I too have the programme, it still in my car.

Another one added to my list. This time a foreign ground. That of Calais SO, at the impressive Stade du Souvenir.

If you're not interested...look away now! ;-)

Many thanks for allowing to indulge myself by mentioning the grounds I'm publishing photos of on here.
I'm not after compliments, I do it because I enjoy it, and hopefully, by mentioning each one on this thread, it will give people the opportunity to look at some snaps, who might be interested in a particular ground, but no have time to look at my blogsite otherwise.

If there is a problem with this I'm happy to be told so by Mr. Kempster. Hopefully it's ok...

Go to www.hoppysnaps.blogspot.com

to see two more grounds added, neither non-league, but Stade de France, in Paris; & Leyton Orient.

I wil be adding a few more over the next week or so, which will be non-league clubs, including what's left of the old, derelict Collier Row ground.

I'll post on this thread when i've done so, in case anyone's interested.

thanks again for allowing me to indulge!

Oh dear...replying to myself!

Just added three more grounds this morning:

Phoenix Sports, from the Kent County League:

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/2008/06/phoenix.html

JA Drancy, just outside Paris, who are Division Honneur, which is level six.
This may interest Chris1963, as I know when I orginally posted I'd gone there it was a ground he said he hadn't been to yet:

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/...a-drancy-france.html

And the last one today, the sad remains of what is left of the old Collier Row ground:

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/.../06/collier-row.html

thank you for allowing me to indulge & mention my site on here again.

Hope some of you enjoy looking in!

I went there with Northwood once, to play Romford, in Isthmain Div 1 towards the end of the 2k/2k1 season. Even then I'm not sure it was ever up to standard.

Northwood, Threave Rovers, Arsenal, Watford, Rochdale, Rangers (the real ones, NOT qpr), queen of the south and a few others.

Three more grounds added for people to look at:

Welling United....also home of Erith & Belvedere of course.

Then two more grounds from Drancy, in France.

One, a smaller ground of JA Drancy, maybe a former First Team home of theirs? :

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/2008/06/drancy-old.html

and also my first non-football one, the local Drancy rugby ground:

Some more for you to look at:

Better late than never, should have been the first lot I did really, my own club-Dulwich Hamlet! Not surprisingly, the biggest group of snaps for a ground so far!

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/...on-hill-stadium.html

Also now up are the derelict Hellenic League ground of Hounslow Borough. Any info on this ground is welcomed-how long they played there for; who previously played there; & who plays there now:

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/...ounslow-borough.html

Plus West London Sharks rugby league, who use Grasshoppers rugby union club:

http://hoppysnaps.blogspot.com/...t-london-sharks.html

And the adjacent to Wests, disused, Centaurs rugby union ground, which has a lovely old stand. I'd be grateful if anyone knows if football was ever played here:

Good photos again, ive only been to the outside of Dulwich Hamlet on the way back from kent to middx, have to agree with you about not having covering behind the goal, for people who like to watch behind the goal it is hard to create an atmosphere.
At AFC HAYES there is some covering, we just need more supportersCrazy

You're doing a fantastic job Mishi , love the photos of Champion Hill in the snow.

Brook - how long have you had covering behind the goal? And has anything been built next to the seated stand along the side?

It was stated in the latest edition of Groundtastic that Hayes and Yeading were moving back to Yeading for 2009/10 and selling Church Road, Hayes for development.
