Re: [Tim] Musical Snapshot or Reply Privately

I wish I could live four lives, just so's I could catch up with all the music I like! There's so many styles of music I enjoy, so many artists, so little time.

One of the orders the other day (since I'm going through a country music phase) was of the Highwaymen, which includes a cover of "Desperados Waiting for a Train". Thanks for your suggestions. I have a flexible friend.

Personally, there are so many types of music I enjoy the best of. Just recently, I’ve been going through a Guinea Bissau phase. (including some Siko). They’res a fair few of those coves here in Luxembourg. Maybe I should explain myself. It’s partly about the dancing, and the fitness. But since many of the lyrics are in Portuguese, I can just about figure out what they’re talking about.

Siko’s a bit hard core for me… I’m getting too old for that. I can just about manage a couple or three songs of gumbe before collapsing. This one is probably sung in Mandinke with some odd Criol – I can understand the odd bit, but 90% and I'm lost.

And the following is my favourite love song at the moment. I think It's sung in Portuguese rather than Criol, but I can't understand everything, and I can only pick out the odd word, but it’s just so happy, and to me captures that moment you've fallen in love with someone. You’re walking on clouds, and this just sounds so happy. It just captures the moment so well.
