Chelsea Transfer Target

Team(s): Not any more
It's a few years since I've been to Albion's ground but, as I recall, it's a perfectly flat pitch. The ground is on Airedale's floor, sandwiched between the bypass and the former main road through the valley. As rugby league pitches in the hillier districts of West Yorkshire go, it's about as flat as they get!Albion's team manager, Sarah Lancaster, says in the Keighley News:
'Wakefield are used to a flat pitch, they won't be used to the slope, that we call the hill, at Crossflats.'
http://www.keighleynews.co.uk/...fter-cup-adventures/It has to be a joke. While working in Leeds for three years, I lived on the moors above Haworth (where it's properly hilly), and most days caught the train into the city from Crossflatts station. Where the cricket and rugby league grounds are simply isn't hilly. It's the floor of Airedale. Aerial photographs of Crossflatts also indicate it's flat. Still, no matter. I've been to Keighley Albion once, and doubt very much I'll find a reason to visit again.
