I have the German version of the CD' Tapestry'. It is actually called 'You've got a friend'. All the songs are the normal English versions.
'It's too late ' is a terrific song.

Just thinking about the number of 70-ish year olds who shared their trade, currently popping their clogs.

"How terribly strange to be 70" sung by a pair who are now 74.

Can there be anything more beautiful or poignant?

Unrelated, I know, but we've got three spare tickets for Muse at the MEN Arena on Friday 8th April. Anyone interested, just PM.
If you haven't been there, it's a 20,000 capacity venue right next to Victoria Station.

Sunday March 13th - first visit to 02 Arena for Country to Country. Good venue, and great acoustics.
Chris Stapleton, Kasey Musgraves & Eric Church, all excellent.

Sorry, not for me.
After the power of the first three Waterboys' Albums, I bought Fisherman's Blues very quickly, without even hearing one track before purchase. It was a great disappointment, too folky, nothing to excite me.

When compared to the first three albums, That was the Sea, this is the River

I'm reckon if you like Waterboys you will probably like some of this Americana/folk band called Lord Huron..

Mrs c came back from choir rehearsal last night enthusing over a choral arrangement of Billy Joel's "And so it goes"

I'm not aware of hearing this before but the lyrics are just so beautiful - sheer poetry:

The musical link is broken but I read the lyrics and, as you say, they are very poetical and, I think , illustrates how love has the potential make you doubt yourself and , ultimately, reinvent yourself.

Speaking of Love, I dug out my old vinyl tonight and does anything come close to the underrated Arthur Lee and the lyrically superb Forever Changes album circa 1968?
