I don't know where the time goes - Hard to believe that tomorrow is the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Roy Orbison at the age of just 52, news that I first heard at the start of that night's John Peel Show...

This is the Big O playing 'Only The Lonely' with friends including Elvis Costello.

Within Temptation were on Michael Ball's Radio 2 show last Sunday 11am playing two songs live. The first, 50 minutes in, was a song from their new album which the lead singer wrote about her late father; the second, about 70 minutes in, a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' which was a little odd hearing a woman sing the line 'I got Mary Pregnant'.Laugh Available on BBCi player until 5th March.

It's not often music stops me in my tracks but Philip Glass's violin concerto mixed with Blondie's Heart of Glass, played on Scala Radio just did.

Thanks BB
It certainly has the Led Zep feel, but they carry it off well.

You'll be surprised to know I've been following throwback band Greta van Fleet for a little while now.

The saviours of guitar rock perhaps!!?

Considering getting tickets for Newcastle in November

Ok ,cheers, didn't realise that ..

My partner wasn't convinced tbh she thinks they're atoo heavy, too 'Zeppy' for her taste.

Haven't seen a band for a while so must sort out a gig soon!

Saw them in Kentish Town last year. The queue to get in was the longest I have ever encountered there.

The gig was one of the best I attended last year.

I once saw in play live at the Montreux jazz festival and he was fantastic. At the end of his set, at around 2am he called everyone in the hall to come forward to the stage, had all the mica and cameras switched off, the organises record everything, he then did 3 more songs on his acoustic guitar and no mic.

The feeling of utter devastation when you pick up your mug and realise you already finished your tea.
