Word on the street suggests Ivor Green and his coaching staff have resigned following the 5-2 defeat at home to Uttoxeter today.

Word on the street was correct mate as Green and cohorts have departed Atherstone.

A bit of an odd one. Why would a manager walk away from a club who have the biggest budget they've ever had while they are top of the league?

No announcement as yet on who will take charge of the team for the game tomorrow night.

Juat a quick update on this one. The Chairman appointed himself Interim Manager for tonight's game, and has talked our last manager but seventeen (if I'm counting correctly) into being his short term Assistant Manager. It is understood that neither will be a candidate for the permanent position.

There are a lot of words that one could use to describe being a Chatham Town supporter, but "dull" is not one of them!

After getting rid of all our best players and replacing them with dross, the Felixstowe duo of Watson and Bloomfield have left by mutual consent. They had this ridiculous dream that was turning into a nightmare. GOODBYE !!!!

And they have been replaced by.
Stuart Broadley and Andy Crump, both former players, the former one had recently left Leiston after having the budget cut to unmanageable levels, the latter was a coach at the Goldstar until a couple of seasons ago, they will be welcomed with open arms!!!!!

Staines Town have confirmed the departure of Anthony Gale - he was previously just suspended.

He has been replaced by Mahrez Bettache, who came with Gale from Walton Casuals to be player/assistant manager.

That's a bit odd really. The events which caused Mr Gale to be first suspended and now dismissed had already happened when he was appointed as manager. Just in case anyone doesn't know, he was convicted of three counts of assault against the same person, not football related.

Surely the club must have known about this matter when it hired him; if it didn't, then it needs to look very hard at its processes. Was it testing the water, seeing whether its fans considered it acceptable to have a person with this on his record as manager, before it decided to part company with him?
