I’ve changed the headers on the main projection to match the colours on league pins.

Full credit to you windydcfc .. and in your and wazzafan's honour .. a copy of the first issue of the 2020/21 spreadsheet has been archived for posterity .. for never in a month of "Tudor" Sunday's .. did I ever expect to see Hemel Hempstead Town's name listed in the top flight of the Non League pyramid .. Cool

Yes a great day, in one of the on-going traditions of the Non League Matters forum .. well done for taking up the position and managing the "projections" .. although come five o'clock on Saturday, those the Hawks of Havant & Waterlooville may well of knocked us off their perch .. Tongue

Good luck over the coming months (and season's) .. we'll be with you all the way .. Wink

Looks good, thanks for this Windy.

To clarify, Loughborough Uni are in light blue, because they finish high enough to be promoted but are ineligible for promotion?

They are ineligible for promotion and are currently in the promotion playoff position. I’ve reprieved a club at step 4 instead.

I can see them...I think you have to go into your settings and allow signatures, as that is where the links are. Putting them there means they should always be visible, meaning people don't have to scroll through dozens of pages and hundreds of posts trying to find them.

Have no interest in reading long winded signatures that make little or no sense so they will be staying off but answers why I could see links while not logged in. Thanks.

Hendon are the wrong colour, you;ve transferred them, not reprieved them
Mickleover Sports will be Mckleover next season
And get rid of all the AFC/FCs - they're just off putting, not sure why but they are.

Steps 1-5 look good, although has it been confirmed that the NPL at Step 4 is reverting to North and South?

Your Step 6 projections, however, in my opinion are questionable, at best. Why are you projecting so many relegations from Step 6, whilst promoting multiple clubs from the same Step 7 feeder divisions, to replace them. Has the one club per step 7 division rule been completely removed? And some of the clubs you are projecting to move up, looks incredibly optimistic, if not a little unrealistic? Grangetown, Woodthorpe Park? Yet have ignored the trio in the Northants Combo (Woodford, Thrapston and S&L Corby) who probably have a much more realistic chance of stepping back up to Step 6 next summer?

Hendon are reprieved & transferred.
I contacted the FA and asked specifically about the NPL step 4. They said that the NPL1N will cover an area from north of the Mersey over to Sheffield. The 2 other leagues are the most likely outcome.
I’ve also asked the FA about relegations from step 6 & the circumstances where 2 clubs could be promoted from each step 7 league(which are the rules this season).
They said that if there’s a team to replace any promoted clubs, then they will consider relegation. The biggest issue is geography and this determine whether 2 clubs are promoted and whether any clubs are relegated.
Until the step 7 list comes out for applicants for promotion to step 6 has been released. It’s a matter of best guessing. Only then will I start reprieving step 6 clubs. We may see 2 clubs relegated from certain step 6 leagues and again this’ll be down to geography.
Woodthorpe play at Arnold Town’s ground and are ambitious. Grangetown have stated that they want to be promoted and are looking at whether this season is viable. The clubs you mentioned aren’t exactly pulling up trees and need to be in a top 5 position. I’ve contacted most of the clubs and those you mentioned are rebuilding the squads, committee’s & finances.

Windy - my point about Hendon is that you are showing them AND Bamber Bridge as reprieved at Step 3. Surely Bury's demise would only result in one reprieve per step?

As for multiple promotions from the same step 7 division - I think they would only do that once reprieves have been used up. For instance in the Northern League, Durham City's projected relegation is coming as the result of SIX promotions into the division (two per Step 7 feeder), and I just can't see any chance of this happening, unless the FA just seriously have it for Durham City for some reason...

By all means promote extra once reprieves have been used, but the example above doesn't't sit right with me, looks unrealistic and sticks out like a sore thumb at present.

And the Northants Combo sides 'not pulling up trees' - the three sides I mentioned are all sitting in the top five of the Northants Combo at the moment. One of those three is bound to apply.

I asked the FA if 2 teams could be promoted from step 7 leagues and teams relegated from step 6. They said it was possible and that’s good enough for me. I’ll look at the Northants league and ask the clubs if they are applying.
The relegation rules from step 3, has the 2 best 3rd bottom placed sides on a ppg basis staying up. So they aren’t actually reprieved, they are staying up anyway. I’ve reprieved the 3rd best 3rd bottom side because of Bury. I’m showing the initial 2 teams as being reprieved for indication purposes.

Yes I can see, for example, if two Dorset Premier League sides were the only Wessex area clubs at Step 7 applying for promotion they might promote them both and relegate the bottom Wessex side.

My point is the extreme approach you're taking in promoting SIX clubs and relegating Durham City just simply will not happen!

I used the northeast as an example in my emails. It’s likely that 2 or more clubs will apply from the 3 step 7 leagues. In the end I’d probably agree that they won’t relegate anyone under those particular circumstances. But they told me that it was possible. You’ve got to ask why homeless Durham should deserve another chance in the NL2 if they finish bottom. Whilst Blyth who have their own ground, might finish runners up & miss out to Newcastle BS. Even though the rules allow them to go up this season.
