All scheduled for this Saturday, 12th July.

Three games are at neutral venues (due to ferry schedules) with 12.30pm ko's.

Golspie Stafford v Ness @ Alness
Pentland United v Back @ Culbokie
Carloway v Castletown @ Fortrose

The remaining tie is an all Caithness affair, with John O'Groats entertaining Thurso Swifts at 3pm.

Out of curiosity, have programmes ever been issued for ANY game in this competition, with the exception of the final? And where is the final played? I've never read about it anywhere, so I would be surprised if it was at a major stadium like Aberdeen. It sounds an interesting competition, given the distances covered, and should get more publicity.

I would think it most unlikely that programmes have ever been issued in the HAC.

As for the Final, the venue is usually chosen once the participants are known, but is typically somwhere resaonably central like Brora Rangers or Ross County. A couple of years ago for the first time ever it was staged off the mainland - at Goathill Park, Stornoway - as both finalists were from Lewis/Harris. It would certainly never be at Aberdeen as this is well over 100 miles from the nearest entrants, especially now the Inverness League no longer participates.

With 3 strong teams from Lewis/Harris in the last 8 we might see a repeat of the Goathill Park venue this year ?

A number of programmes were issued by Ken Wood of the Caithness Amateur FA, on behalf of the clubs in the caithne area (such as Thurso etc), many years ago - probably the late 1980s from memory. They still appear now and again on dealers lists, and usually for a quid or so.
