I'll be joining you at VT v Calne with, alas, nothing on Sunday so I will have to chop down some trees at the bottom end of the estate.

In Essex on Saturday so looks like Galleywood v Mountnessing Boca in the Essex Olympian.

Change of plan due to helpful secretary, now Old Chelmsfordians v Rayleigh Town ko 2.30 EOFL Div 1 (STEP 8?).
Got Chelmsford City v Eastleigh if the weather goes pear-shaped.

One of the Jersey Prem games depending on the weather as very wet & windy today and not much cover available
If reasonable weather it will be Scottish v Trinity

Finishing at work 14:15, which should just about give me enough time to get to Northampton Sileby Rangers v Peterborough Northern Star (UCL1).

FA Vase - Cove Vs Christchurch. Very excited this is the first time I'll get to see Christchurch since my move to London and I heard they were doing well this year.

Change of plan. It's looking a nice day and I'd like to avoid traffic locally. Also the Vase partially slipped my mind.

Arundel v Chertsey instead.

In Reply To
Kirkby Town v Bulwell Town.
CMFL Black Dragon Premier (step 8).

Because Bulwell Town play at Bestwood Village,
this game become's our localist, local derby.
There's 8.4 miles from ground to ground.
We had been looking forward to proper local derby's
against the likes of Blidworth, Sutton and pinxton (to
name but a few).If the North/South split had happened,
as it is Kirkby have to travel about 1,009 miles for the
seasons league matches, while teams at the step 6 EMCL
have somewhere around 700 miles round trip.
Kirkby don't really have much to do with the town of
Bulwell (except our sunday side's rivalry with pub side Scots
Grey), it isn't a shopping destination for us, no aunties and
uncle's to visit, or a work location etc...it isn't local.
Hopefully they'll bring a few to give it a local atmosphere.
Especially as we're on a 4 game unbeaten run and Bulwell
seem to have settled down to CMFL life a bit better recently,
after getting beat 0-7 on the opening day, they've won their
last two.
Mlac, a few weeks ago on your blog....
http://ontheroad2008-09.blogspot.com/
you had this game down to watch.I even told some of our
committee, that two of the more refined Notts Hoppers
where coming. We had the china cups ready and we always
put a good half-time spread on.
Then i find out you're going to see them rich kids again.
Our area's version of Chelski, when its us little clubs that
need the money just to pay the refs.
The next chance to see us will be sometime in November.
Oh well!, i'm sure you'll turn up sometime and i can't fault
yeh, it sounds like a crackin cup tie in store.
All the best to ex Kirkby Town sunday player Brendan
Sweeney who should be there with his missus and baby.
He's always good 'un to have a chat with, the bits you
can understand anyway.
And if you can put up with that old geezer shouting down
the tannoy......Sly Good luck Gordon.

Won't be doing the tannoy today, got a family commitment. You'll have to make do with the chairman instead. Wink
