Mine was that 'TV film' the BBC broadcast just before Euro 96 - with Des Lynam, Neil Morrisey and that pretty jewish girl whose name escapes me right now.
Can't remember it's title, but very funny, with Neil juggling work and social liefe etc.
Does this ring a bell with anyone else?

That will be 'An Evening With Gary Lineker'. Containing the immortal Merton line "Geet a beer, for Birgita". Cool

While not exactly a film, the last part of the sketch

"Derby Council vs. All Blacks Rugby Match / Long John Silver Impersonators vs. Bournemouth Gynaecologists"

is priceless.

Not a film, but a comedy, the classic 'Ripping Yarns' Barnstoneworht United episode.

And not a comedy, but a film: My all time favourite football one is 'Escape To Victory'.

A claim to fame of mine is that I went to school with John Berlyne, who played the boy in "Golden Gordon". That was after he had appeared in the programme, although he did have a small part in Coronation Street, abusing Fred Gee, when I knew him.

I have lost contact, but he does seem to have carried on acting as an adult. Meanwhile, watching the programme again, I am surprised by how much I have forgotten. They were thrashed by Brighouse, for example!
