Those 3 have joined the Cambridgeshire County League

Wimblington have joined Sneior Division A (so have dropped a level)
Manea United have joined Division Two B (so have dropped 3 levels)
Benwick Athletic have joined Division Five D (so have dropped 5 levels)

SSPIO have changed their name to FC Inter and remain in Division One

SSPIO (Societá Sportiva Peterborough Italian Organisation) have been renamed FC Inter.

The clubs moving to the Cambridgeshire League haven't really dropped a level, just moved to a pyramid with a deeper structure. The Peterborough Premier Division is their only division wholly at intermediate level, whereas the top 3 Cambridgeshire divisions (Premier, Senior A and Senior B) are of that standard so Wimbleton are still in an intermediate division. Peterborough Division 1 has a few clubs at intermediate level but mostly provides clubs into junior cup competition so is roughly equivalent to the Cambridgeshire Divisions 1 and 2 (as such Manea are still at a high junior level). Peterborough Division 2 is at the base of the pyramid so as Benwick have moved to the lowest division of the Cambridgeshire league (5) have just moved from the bottom of one pyramid to the bottom of another.

Yes but the fact remains Wimblington are now a further promotion away from Step 6 than they were last season. Likewise Manea would have to gain 2 extra promotions and Benwick 5 extra promotions. So regardless of the status of divisions in Cambridgeshire, they've still dropped!

I doubt promotion to Senior Level/Step 6 is a realistic prospect for any of those clubs as would require investment in Floodlights etc. so doubt they would be at all concerned about where they sit in a top down step system which provides no meaningful comparison of the level/standard of competition across the country below Step 7. I'm sure they believe they've moved sideways too !!

Have been informed that Rutland Rangers have withdrawn their reserve side and have requested that they be relegated for 2010/11 it seems they have lost their manager and most of their players

after they won their championship, there was talk in the paper about long-term plans of moving to the UCL
but I guess not for a while now, 3 have moved to Bourne and 3 to Blackstones, but wheres the manager gone?

They're still shown in the Premier Division constitution on the league website

It seems a long time since any Peterboro League side went up (did Peterboro NS/Eye Utd come from this league?) I remember a lot of clubs were taken to help form the ECL Div 2, also Parson Drove applied but finished bottom that season and were rejected. Difficlut to see who'll be next after Ramsey.

I believe Alconbury and Netherton have both got ambitions from the Peterborough Prem (as well as Ramsey)
Southill Alexander from the Bedfordshire league
Weldon United from the Northants Comb
Somersham town from the Cambs league

Have all expressed interest in moving up, in the past few seasons

I thought Southill Alexander were only interested in joining the Spartan South Midlands.
As for the others are they anywhere near with regard to facilities?

Weldon have indeed moved to Corby Business park (I think)

Didnt know Southill Alexander had expressed a preference, I added them as they are a feeder to the UCL and had ambitions

AFC Fletton are not running this year, so my guess is

Crowland Town will be invited back to the prem (to put league back to 16)
Guyhirn will be invited back to Div 1 (to get league back to 12)
Div 2 will run with 12

I was at Pinchbeck Reserves 3 AFC Fletton Reserves 1 on the 5th May last season and Fletton seemed pretty definite that no teams would be competing this season
