Springfield in the Essex Olympian handles plenty of rain very well. I referee I know recently officiated there on a day where much stuff was wiped out, and he said you barely noticed any trace of rain on the pitch itself. One to consider tomorrow perhaps....

Monday 17th October 2016
Aveley 1-1 Phoenix Sports (Isthmian League Division 1 North)

Next scheduled match:
Tuesday 18th October 2016
Burnham Ramblers v Haringey & Waltham (Essex Senior League)

The only one round our way that i've never known call off for rain is, Ipswich Athletic. They've played on many occasions when all others are off, and as usual they played Yesterday.

You can add both Barrow Town and Quorn to the list.

Quorn was off due to waterlogged pitch last week, but even Sleaford Town had to move to an outside pitch at Eslaforde

Basford United's pitch was in excellent condition yesterday v Barrow Town (top 2 in the ECML home win 1-0).
They had a rare postponement on 29/12 v Anstey Nomads according to the prog.

Somerton
Axminster Town

Did both of these on recent bad weather days - no problems at all.

On a very wet and windy Saturday about a month ago, Hassocks pitch was immaculate when many other games south of the Thames was postponed.

Boxted Lodgers, Bradfield Rovers, Mistley, and (as long as the Stour doesn't burst its banks next door) Bures United. Not sure whether the fact they are all near each other, and all next to/near the River Stour has anything to do with it?

At Senior level Maldon & Tiptree home games rarely called off by the rain either. Thamesmead Town's pitch is also very sturdy. Looked immaculate last Monday despite a lot of recent bad weather.

Forgot Brightlingsea Regent as well. It's a very bobbly and at times muddy surface, but the drainage is remarkable. They just don't get games rained off there. Which is fortunate, as from next Tuesday they've got four scheduled midweek home games between the 15th December and the beginning of February.

Ruardean Hill Rangers (Gloucestershire Northern Senior League). Pitch is quite high up and slightly sloping. Drains very well

I am giving this old thread another bump given the weather last week and the forecast for Saturday. Any contributions gratefully received.

Broadbridge Heath’s new ground. Torrential rain from about midday yesterday, pitch remained immaculate until the last few minutes of the game.

I would add Shefford Town & Campton to that. Despite much of the surrounding area sloping down towards the pitch, the pitch coped very well on Saturday.

Revived this given amount of rain due this week.
From the West Mids I put forward Brocton, Stourbridge/Causeway and Tipton/Bustleholme always seem to be the last to go.

Indeed Brocton looked in great condition on Saturday when most of the other games nearby that I was interested in succumbed to waterlogging.
