Parting Company Can't Post or Reply Privately

I see the 0-4 loss at home to Bournemouth has seen mark Robins depart as Huddersfield manager after just one match.

Sadly 1 down 91 to go.

Even I didn't expect the brown trouser brigade to panic quite that fast.

What reason was given? Surely it can't be based (purely) on results - the new man won't have had any say in season preparation and will have little time to make any signings.

I suppose if you were trying to look for some logic to this barmy decision, sacking him now means that if they appoint his successor pronto he has up to the 31 August deadline to try and bring in players to work to his preferred style of play.

Personally, I think it just proves how little has changed since Len Shackleton's autobiography contained a chapter on the average Director's knowledge of football which comprised a single blank page.

It seems many fans wanted him out at the end of last season, I guess starting the season with a 0-4 home defeat made his position untenable?

Academy boss Mark Lillis has taken over on a temporary basis but with his history at the club he must stand a good chance of getting the job if he turns the club around after such a horrendous start!!

Whoever #2 is, Mark Robbins will probably be among the favourites to succeed him.

I can't understand why Wenger's still in post. He hasn't won a trophy since 10 August, how are Gooners coping with such a desperately long wait?

Sannino leaves Watford.

4 wins out of 5, and in second place.

Not his cup of tea I guess.

Was not aware there was that sort of rubbish going on at the club, it could do with sorting out or what looks to be a promising season ahead could fall apart.
