The final allocations meetings aren't until the start of next week, so nothing, I repeat nothing, has been ratified yet.

Provisional line-up
. . .

Don't take too much notice of that list.

I had produced that article, and in the case of the split between Div One North and Div One South, it was based on what I had heard in a discussion with the chairmen of a couple of Div One clubs regarding the proposed border line between North and South – the border was said to be the M62 and the northern part of the M60.
When first produced, the article said very clearly at the beginning that pretty well everything in it was speculative, but someone removed that statement. I now see that someone has removed all references to makeup of the three divisions.

Full details of the setup of the three divisions will reappear once the FA has announced the Step 5 and Step 6 constitutions, expected towards the end of this month.

It's a shame Eastwood Hanley and Foley Meir have not made it for next year. There were rumours but obviously still a few things to iron out. Will be great for Stoke-on-Trent football when they do move up.

Wouldn't surprise me if the LC assume they come from Ellesmere Port.

There were two teams in the frame to be laterally transferred. One was Campion & were well aware of the possibility & the other was Ellesmere(it takes a lot to believe that they didn’t think it was a possibility). The LC had to make the decision. That’s why the NWCL only knew about 39 clubs for there step 6 league’s. I don’t know what they think the FA will say? Has anyone worked out whether they’ll increase or decrease there travelling?

Ellesmere were an ever present in wazza's projections as a transferee to nwcl div 1 (penrith rocester, campion were in and out constantly) so he must have picked up their likelihood of transferring from somewhere and I'm sure Ellesmere Rangers were informed of the possibility - even if only conjecture from Wazzas projections if not from the FA themselves.

Did a quick run through of the teams using google maps, assuming Ellesmere would've taken the place of Pershore who were transferred over.

NWC: 1763.4 miles - 38 hrs
WML: 1987.8 miles - 43 hrs 50 mins

Distances and times are from ground to ground and probably don't take into account the traffic, which I'd imagine would be heavier in the NWC direction. Probably other factors need to be taken into account as well, if most of their current squad work in Telford or Shrewsbury it would be a lot easier for them to get to the West Midlands grounds for example. No idea if that's a correct assumption, I just turn up and watch the match.

Grounds visited: 298
Last new ground: Welfare Ground (Brandon United)
Next planned fixture: S Shields v Atherton Colls - NPL Premier - 5/10/19

Your comments on their twitter feed thread are a bit odd. Ellesmere Rangers aren't moving up a level. They would be staying at step 6, but just transferring across from one league to another. No need for a ground inspection. I imagine that they just haven't been alive to the changes taking place this summer and the possibility they might be affected. Geographically it seems to make sense that they join the NWCFL South unless their management and players come from the Telford/Shrewsbury area, which of course the League's Committee wouldn't be aware of.
