By the looks of the PR photo someone should slip a bit of salad into John Barnes' shopping trolley, if you can find room. Full details, plus obligatory empty platitudes about the competition from Barnes and Ray Parlour (who'll both be making the draw), are here: https://www.efl.com/...und-one-draw-details

Barnesy looks very trim to me .

Assume the draw for the EFL Trophy will be from ''Poundland'' ?

July 1, 2019 to June 30,2020 = 127 / 107 / 20 / 5 x 0-0's. (You know my rules) @ 07 / 12 / 2019 . Belgium top 5 tiers 0-0-0-(0-1-0)-(0-1-1-2) / Holland top 4 tiers - 0-0-0-(0-0) / Lux top 2 tiers 0 -2. England top 10 tiers - 0. Now blogging at https://eccentricity.video.blog/

I guess so.

Just confirmed the second round draw will be live from a Moss Side crack den.

Have the FL never considered taking the draw to one of the competing clubs grounds? Even better if it was a club that took the competition seriously!

Since the draw is taking place in Morrisons then I suggest that instead of pulling balls out off a bag, they number apples and place them in a barrel of water then Barnes and Parlour could do the draw by apple bobbing.

Why not? It sounds a hell of a lot better than some of the hair brained ideas they have come up with recently to raise the profile of it and a damn site cheaper.

This is precisely why the draw is at Morrison's. Who on earth takes league cups seriously - at any level!- - especially a secondary league cup like the Premier league under-21 Trophy - oops, sorry, the EFL Trophy.

Believe it or not, the draw for the 1st round of the 19/20 competition will be made from a London branch of Morrison’s.

Collingdale branch on Thursday at 19:00 if anyone is in the area with nowt better to do Sly

Assume that's Colindale?
(sorry, pedant alert)

Absolutely and thanks for that one. Hate to think of the desparodos in a state of sheer panic thinking they were in danger of missing such a momentous occasion. Sly

I could cope with missing out. I'd seriously struggle with the typo. I suspect it's the same gene that pushes me towards this website Crazy

Must admit I preferred this evening's draw to the overblown FA Cup draws we have these days, especially as we were spared the cringe of the token handshakes between a fans of each team as they're drawn together.

Full draw here: https://www.efl.com/...nd-one-draw-details/

Salford v Leeds and AFC Wimbledon v MK Dons are the obvious picks.

I would go along with those choices for TV coverage. This would mean Salford's first 2 games as a FL club will be on live TV, 1 league 1 lleague cup.

Not sure AFC Wimbledon v MK Dons will be a given for a TV game they’ve played each other several times now and are also in the same division this season, also tbh apart from AFC fans does anyone actually care about this anymore?

Scunthorpe v Derby would be my bet.

For the record the two televised ties will be Pompey v Birmingham, brought forward a week to Aug 6, and Salford v Leeds on 13th.

a drunk Rod Stewart would've sufficed
