Good to see both Red House Farm and Swalwell giving Saturday afternoon senior football another go!

Numbers were always going to be difficult for the TAL this season after promoting 3 up to the Northern Alliance but 13 from 14 isnít too disastrous.

The Northern Alliance hopefully looks set to have a full complement of 48 for 2018/19. Its 3 feeder leagues so far are Newcastle Corinthians League - net increase of 5, Tyneside Amateur League - net decrease of 1 with North Northumberland League yet to declare. It would be great for Northumberland/Tyneside football if the recent trend of falling numbers playing Saturday afternoon football could be halted or even slightly reversed.

The North Northumberland League has at least 8 teams this season, the fixtures are on a news item on their 2017-18 FullTime page but the 2018-19 season isn't live yet.

After a bit of searching Iíve found those fixtures on that website. I believe Bedlington FC are also entering an ĎAí team in the NNL this season. Last season both Embleton and Craster were in the NNL and a merged side have been playing pre-season friendlies so hopefully thatís 2 more making 10. However, Shilbottle C.W. have sadly announced the folding of their Saturday senior team.

I've checked the new FullTime website and it does confirm that Bedlington A and Craster & Embleton United are in the league.

Maybe its 11?

Wooler's twitter account is still very active, and they have played 5 pre-season friendlies, their latest against Rothbury.

If they aren't in the NNL - then they can't feasibly be anywhere else.

Anyone able to confirm Wooler are actually in the NLL too?

Iíve just checked FullTime and theyíre not showing up, might be waiting to affiliate before they show up. Iíll have another look tomorrow but the league FullTime should be going live soon as their season starts on Saturday!
