It's been a while since I posted - moving house followed by building work cut short research at Plaitopolis HQ but I have added a few items to my website http://thestrawplaiters.com To the Library I have added "Cup Finals" which at the moment only includes an account of the 1890 Kettering Charity Cup Final between the great Grantham Rovers and the Straw Plaiters. An account of the replay will follow. To Onlooker I have added an article entitled "Glory." In the Library, A to Z of clubs I have added two photos of Croydon Common, one of Arlesey and St Neots and a sketch of the West Herts pavilion. The Home page has all the kits worn by the Straw Plaiters 1885 to 1901. Cheers Brian

A few more items added to my website http://thestrawplaiters.com To Onlooker I have added a painting that I commissioned last year. "The Three Captains" depicts Luton Town's three inspirational captains from 1885 to 1894 - J.C. Lomax, J.W. Julian and Arthur H. Taylor at the Dallow Lane ground. This painting has also been added to "Art" in the Library. A new photo of Luton Town Reserves 1901 with the Beds and District League Trophy added to the gallery. The reports on replay of the Kettering Charity Cup 1890 v Grantham Rovers has been added to "Cup Finals" in the Library. Insurance for players, appealing for decisions and the first record of favours being worn by LTFC fans are included. Finally a small item added to Testimonials in the Library. Cheers Brian

I have added every Luton game I can find from 1885 to 1894 to my website http://thestrawplaiters.com Go to the "seasons" button. The games include Ordinary (Friendly) games, F.A. Cup, Kettering and Luton Charity Cup games and benefit games. Attendances are also included where I have them. There are a few gaps - newspapers hostile attitude and love of political coverage meant some reports were either missed or incomplete. If anyone can help fill the gaps in any way, no matter how small, I would be very grateful. If you need a report on any of the games then let me know and I will see if I have it. I have them typed up - 400,000 words! Cheers Brian
