4.95 average per game
62 grounds
15 red cards
46 penalties
Biggest average/home win: (16) Nanpean Rovers 14-2 Boscastle Res
Biggest away win: Porthleven Ladies 0-12 Mousehole Ladies

Last 0-0 draw: Friday 04/11/2016 Bodmin Town v Plymouth Parkway

My figure for matches attended is rather on the low side this time around - usually it'd be nearer 100 or so, but it has been a quieter season in some ways. But anyway...

60 games
197 goals
3.28 average per game
53 grounds - of which 45 were new ticks
Biggest home win - Rustington 7-0 Littlehampton United
Biggest away win - Newport County 0-6 Yeovil Town

Not a bad season. My gpg is down on last season but I think that reflects a steep increase in Step 2-4 games this time around and less 5-7.

Games: 166
Goals: 611
Most watched: Melksham Town 23 (big surprise!)
GPG: 3.68
New grounds: 96
Biggest Home Win: Willand Rovers 9 Cadbury Heath 0
Biggest Away Win: New College Swindon 0 Penn & Tylers Green 9

2018-19 Games: 166 Goals: 611 GPG: 3.68 New Grounds: 96
2019-20 Games: 31 Goals: 123 GPG: 3.97 New Grounds: 22

I had a memorable season with some interesting new clubs and very high-scoring games.

Games: 137 (2nd highest ever)
Goals: 613 (Ditto)
GPG: 4.47
Most watched: Luton Town Ladies 14
New grounds: 51
Biggest home win: The Pines (Luton) 10-1 Harlington & Sporting Lewsey Park 11-2 Unite MK Resrves
Biggest away win: Crawley Green 2-10 Wycombe Wanderers (U-18)

It was particularly pleasing to complete the existing set of ex-Football League clubs with visits to Ashington, Nelson, Aberdare & Bootle.

Special mention to Pegasus Juniors. My train to Hereford was delayed and I got to their Friday night match v Hereford Lads Club with 35 minutes gone. They charged me full gate. It was 0-0. The delight for me as I watched all 6 away goals. Karma is a bitch.

New job taking up pretty much every Saturday afternoon, plus reduced division sizes meaning less midweek games available means a big reduction on last year.

Last season is in brackets.

Grounds: 41 (51)
New grounds: 22 (30)

Unless I choose to add a game or two to the list
Matches - 150
Grounds - 132, of which 125 were new ticks
Goals - 449, just one goal short of exactly 3.00 goals per game

Home wins - 56
Away wins - 54
Neutral venue (with winner) - 17
Draws - 23 (of which 11 were 0-0). Draws includes those on neutral venues

Number of games with extra time - 3; two ending in away wins, one ending in a scoreless draw

One penalty shoot out, with nine penalties taken, seven scored and resulting in a 4-3 win (for Ajaccio) after 0-0 at 90 minutes
The 0-0 aet went to a replay

33 players sent off, 19 of which were for the home team or "first named" at a neutral venue
7 own goals, five of which favoured home teams or "first named" at a neutral venue
47 penalties, 23 awarded to home teams, of which 19 were scored. 15 awarded to away teams, of which 12 were scored. 9 in games at neutral venues, all scored
One player sent to the "Sin Bin" - the first I have seen. The "honour" went to Tim Martin of Cowfold in a game at Upper Beeding. The game finished 1-0 to UB and the goal was scored while Cowfold were down to ten men.

Matches seen on the grounds of 26 different National Associations. A National Association is one that is a direct member of any of FIFA's six confederations.

Of these, 13 were first time visits (number of grounds shown)- Albania: 1, Kosovo: 4, Macedonia: 1, Belarus: 6, Guadeloupe: 4, Martinique: 4, Anguilla: 1, Sint Maarten: 1, St. Kitts & Nevis: 4, Bonaire: 1, Aruba: 2, Curacao: 2 and Barbados: 3. Country total now 84

Countries also visited, by number of new grounds visited this season in each
France: 37, England: 20, Austria: 13, Switzerland: 4, Czech: 4, China: 3, Germany: 2, Estonia: 2, Lithuania: 2, Hong Kong, Finland, Belgium and Wales: 1 each

Total games 39
New ticks 36
Total goals 145
Average per game 3.71
Red cards 10
Penalties 11

Highlights:
Probably England v Croatia just edging out San Siro for Milan v Dudelenge. Non league wise, to be honest I saw loads of dross, although Boston v Bradford Park Avenue was enjoyable.
Honourable mentions for BPA v Yorkshire Regiment and Oxhey Jets v Icarus, both games respecting the services.

Lowlights, sadly lots to choose from but Marlow v Chalfont st Peter was a vile game with the home team a group of yobs masquerading as footballers. However even that was beaten by the joke that is Fire Christian United and their pathetic antics at May & Baker.

A deliberate decision this season to limit my visits saw me stats end up as follows:
Games: 49
New grounds: 15, preference being given to Cambridge City games or Cambs area venues games which accounted for all but four of the new visits.
Favourite newly visited venue: Has to be the Luton Town, sat in the away end and despite being a pre-season game a good atmosphere. Added bonus of one those grounds I have now played on and watched at........

My first season as a groundhopper, mainly thanks to this website and the Groundhopper app.

Games: 116 (more than the 7 previous seasons combined)
Goals: 389
GPG: 3.35
Countries: 9
Most watched: Ampthill Town (16)
Total grounds: 95
New grounds: 87 (now 225 grounds in total)
Most visited ground: Wembley Stadium (7)
Most goals: Park View 4-4 Buckingham Athletic

Not expecting to record such figures for 2019/20 but I'll give it a good go!

Re: [BDA_85] End of season groundhopping stats [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

My XXth season of hopping ended last night at Barry v Cliftonville with 73 new grounds and 7 revisits, 358 goals at 4.48/game
Now no doubt some will say that the Europa League match was in fact 2019/20 which of course it is, but my points of measurement are from July 1st to June 30th every year which is the "normal" UEFA season ; a bit of a misnomer I guess as there are leagues that are summer leagues and competitions that span those two dates such as the various international tournaments currently taking place.
None of which detail bothers me; 2019/20 begins for me on Monday though it may be a little while before the account is opened.

I decided not to bother with the African Nations Cup UK this weekend in London as only a couple of games each day & cba so my season is over.

I went to 115 games with 446 goals = 3.88 ave. Last season I had same number of goals but saw 118 games.

84 games in England 4.06 ave goals.
20 games abroad which was my lowest since 2002/03. Ave 3.40 goals.
11 other games in UK with 3.36 ave goals.

86 new grounds, 58 in England (3rd most in a season), 17 abroad (lowest since 2002/03) & 11 other grounds in UK.

Biggest crowd 1,891 - AFC Fylde (v) FC Halifax Town.
Lowest crowd 2 h/c - UCC Diaspora (v) South Wimbledon Dazzlers.

Most goals in a game - 9 twice.
Only one 0-0, in Wales.
