Cardiff International Sports Stadium Can't Post or Reply Privately

Cardiff Metropolitan University FC plays their Europa League Qualifier vs Niederkorn there.

I am not sure if it is an extraordinary opportunity or if there are regular matches?

The stadium is not used by any club for men's first team matches, as far as I know, although Pontypridd Town used it temporarily last season. I think Cardiff City might also use it for their youth and/or women's teams.

Yes, I saw Ponty there last season. I believe there was concern that regular use was leading to pitch problems/wear and so Ponty had to move later in the season. Good parking and a fine stand; downside is it's a 'mare for traffic especially after 1700hrs

I saw Cardiff Grange Harlequins in Welsh league 3 in 2013/14 season at CIS Stadium. I think this is same ground you are all referring too but hopefully someone will confirm. They folded that season I think but have not checked.

I saw them in 2009! Quite surprised at how long ago the game was.
I did not even get to Cardiff City until 14 months later.
When I went, it was just Grange Harlequins, the word Cardiff was added later.
At the old Leckwith, the team I saw was called Inter Cardiff.

There have been a few mergers in the area and I cannot remember who was who, or if there are any remnants of clubs who may have been at one time, Inter Cardiff, Grange Harlequins or AFC Cardiff

Cardiff Met's social media is suggesting their game is a 6.30pm kick off.

Certainly was showing 19:30 but yep now going an hour earlier. Wondered if there was any reason for different kick off times.

Perhaps they want to avoid expense of floodlights?
