Thanks to their aggregate win against Lincoln Red Imps TNS have now picked up 1 million and 80 thousand euros this season.

Tim Johnson

All of which will ensure that the league is even less competitive next year.

Not their fault though - they're just playing the UEFA game rather well.

Rumour has it that the Merseyside Chamber of Trade have appealed to the club to spend it all on players' wages.

Just a heads up that TNS v FC Midtjylland in the Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg next Thursday is being played at the Cardiff City Stadium, kick-off 7.45pm.

This might be a good, cheap way for someone to do the ground. Tickets are only £5

If you're coming, Cardiff City centre is likely to be busy. Not only is the International Eisteddfod on in the capital, mostly around the Bay area, but in the afternoon / early evening there will be a celebration homecoming for Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas.

Why are TNS playing this game at Cardiff? Doesn't Wrexham have the required grading to host European games?

Been explained elsewhere after I asked the very same question naming Wrexham as a potential venue. Something to do with not being able to come up with a financial package was the reply I think.

Is ground grading higher for 3rd qualifying then? This game is also live on s4c

Requirements are

Category 2 for the preliminary round, first and second qualifying rounds;
Category 3 for the third qualifying round and play-offs;
Category 4 from the group stage to the semi-finals.

Indeed they have ;)Issue was the pitch, and dimensions, and stock car track, and a solution needed to be found, which it was :)
incidentally, the stock cars are leaving The Showgrounds

The Connah's Quay v Kilmarnock match will be played at Rhyl on July 11. Capacity is set at just under 1,500 with Killie having an allocation of 800 - far less than anticipated demand. £20 admission for adults. Further details at: http://www.deeside.com/...se-ground-ruled-out/

So, admission price for an adult almost triple the price of watching a WP match at Deeside.

Yes, because 800 Kilmarnock fans wouldn't want to see Connahs Quay in the Welsh Premier. Tongue

Killie apparently requested 2500 tickets. I have no doubt they would have sold that number for their first European venture in nearly 20 years.

Hmmm.
So TNS have a coefficient of 6.000 and Rangers 5.250
Who worked that one out?

The coefficient is performances in Europe over 5 seasons, and as TNS have qualified for the Champions League every time, they've managed to accumulate more points than Rangers achieved in their two seasons in Europe. Should get back to 'normal' by next season if Rangers win their 1st Qualifying Round.

This website gives a breakdown of club coefficients (including points for this season) into their seperate seasons, Rangers are 149th and TNS are 147th.

Was planning on going to that game with a Killie-supporting mate (and would be happy to pay the cost) but the 7pm kick off rules out darting straight from work and I wouldn’t fancy the chances of a ticket anyway.

I'm surprised CQN didn't take a punt on hiring the Racecourse Ground, assuming it was ready and available. Certainly Wrexham have a PSF v Stoke City on 17th July.

Racecourse not available, Wrexham had been due to play Fleetwood on 5th July but this has been switched to Fleetwood training ground.

The Racecourse pitch got reseeded but due to the weather a few weeks ago the pitch is not ready.

Thought that was a good first leg between Barry Town and Cliftonville. Ground looked nice and busy . The sgorio Facebook feed reached 1k viewers at 75 mins and 1.1k come the 90, I hope the extra viewers didn’t think it was a later kick off.

I was originally looking forward to the CQN v Killie match but I think it will now be too difficult to get hold of a ticket. 1,500 capacity!!? I sometimes wonder if UEFA want any spectators at these matches at all.
