Warrington Town 0 Accrington Stanley 0
Admission was a five I believe, prog for a donation
Refreshments available
Att. 478

Quite an open game for one without goals. Stanners probably had more chances but Town had one disallowed which was harsh to say the least. All in all an enjoyable warm evening.

Post match at The Ring o' Bells. Peakstones and Merlin ales tasted and approved. Good company with Jerry & John

Bulgaria Tier 2.

CSKA 1946 v Loko Sofia.
Vasil Levski Stadium @ 18-30.
Approx 150 in a 44,000 capacity stadium. Check official attendance tomorrow.

CSKA 1946 founded in 2016 but did a Northwich after splitting from big brother.
Revisit ( 6th. ?) to assist colleagues.
Easy win for CSKA who are looking to move into the top tier to face rivals CSKA. Narrowly missed out last season.

A couple of early goals from main striker Anton Gushterovi killed the game. He's nearly a goal a game in the last 3 seasons.

Anyway from one live TV game to another , decent parking for getaway and a 15 min drive to Bistritsa Stadium for the next game.
Bulgaria Tier 1, arrived 20 mins beforehand to an empty car park and was in the ground within minutes.

Vitosha v Botev Vratsa @ 21-00.
Att - 280.

Hate to think what the TV audiences are like for these Diema TV games.

Just preparing for departure to airport for flight back. Till the next time, ''Wizzo''.

July 1, 2019 to June 30,2020 = 127 / 107 / 20 / 5 x 0-0's. (You know my rules) @ 07 / 12 / 2019 . Belgium top 5 tiers 0-0-0-(0-1-0)-(0-1-1-2) / Holland top 4 tiers - 0-0-0-(0-0) / Lux top 2 tiers 0 -2. England top 10 tiers - 0. Now blogging at

Oldends Lane (Magpie Stadium)
Stonehouse Town 0 Brimscombe & Thrupp 5
Admission: 5 No paper Attendance: 80-100

Gloriously sunny evening at what is an attractive little ground which seems to be a work in progress now that it will be hosting Step 6 football this season. No lights yet but I'm sure they will be there soon.
Established Step 5 neighbours were way too good for the hosts; they led 1-0 at HT having much the better chances and put their boot on the home side's jugular for the 2nd half and kept it there. Should have been more goals as the home side tired. B&T had a good season in 18-19 and look set fair to continue in that vein.
Home across country rather than M5/M4 in 60 mins.

2018-19 Games: 166 Goals: 611 GPG: 3.68 New Grounds: 96
2019-20 Games: 93 Goals: 366 GPG: 3.94 New Grounds: 51

Vale of Leven 2-1 Thorn Inn PSF....F&N...Cuppa 90p

A short run down to Milburn Park for this evenings 1915 kick off. The Amateurs put in a decent show and more than matched their hosts, taking the lead on 24 minutes and playing the better passing game.
The Vale hit back on 42 mins and won it with 2 minutes remaining.
A fine night to watch football and the sun even put in a brief appearance.
A number of Hoppers in attendance, including the couple from Germany who come over often and a chap from Aldershot way on a weeks tour north of the border based in Edinburgh.

The game did get heated at times and the ref was busy with both sides not holding back including the visiting Manager.

Good run back North and no delays on the A82. Big game Saturday when Clydebank come calling.
