Hawkchurch 1 Combe St Nicholas Reserves 0 (PSF) Att: 16 h/c f&n
Cracking game, and not played like a friendly, but highly competitive. An enjoyable game, and much better than the scoreline suggests. Both sides hit the woodwork twice, and Hawkchurch should have won this much more comfortably, although the visitors improved in the second half.
Hawkchurch Playing Field was described admirably by Ciderjon at the end of last season. I liked it a lot, particularly for a) the view of the church beyond one goal, and b) the splendid side to side slope. Definitely worth a visit.
