The Wakefield League will be published on 11/08/19. 6new teams, City Of Wakefield FC who play on the same site as Thornesians and United Power Castleford who play in Crofton bizarrely. Huddersfield league is out. Looks like all 3D Dynamos teams have left to a Lancashire league (East Lancs?). Marsh FC are new.

More drop outs than new clubs in the Hudds League. Drop outs Colne Valley - Div 1 Marsden & Littleborough - Div 2 3D Dynamos & Golcar - Div 3 New Clubs Marsh Athletic & Uppermill (although technically Uppermill dropped out of Division 3 and restarted in 4. Without being harsh to the clubs in Div 4 the standard is pretty poor with what is left over from the clubs thats got promoted last season.

Don't know about full size but it's a poor pitch next to the main road and sloping badly from end to end.

Leeds City and Whitkirk Wanderers have both pulled their reserve teams out of West Yorks League, but retained Yorkshire Amateur League teams... TVR United have dropped out of the Craven league after having been placed in the second tier rather than the premier division. Several of their players have gorne to to Toller in the YAL.

Leeds City lost their first and second team to Horsforth St Mags so think they'll struggle. Didn't Whitkirk take on Amaranth this year? Surprised to see them lose a team. They have threatened to pull their Reserves for years as they want the WY league to merge the top divisions with the Alliance to allow reserves to play higher. Goes to a vote every year and is rejected.

That's bad loss for the WYL, given that Leeds City have rarely been out of the top 3 in the last decade. Leeds City's old third team in the YAL looks set to be their first team now. However, it's not too bad for them as they are only one level lower than their first team was!

It is a bad loss for the WYL. In addition to Leeds City, the other two standout teams over the last several years are Beeston & Carlton. Short of groundsharing none of these three have a snowball in hells chance of moving up to step 6. And I have my doubts that they want to either.

Dewsbury Town have been thrown out of the Huddersfield & District League, apparently they are under some type of suspension by the County FA.

Last season's wooden-spoonists Nafferton have gone from the Driffield League without playing a game. Only 7 clubs left in the competition now.

Marsden from the Huddersfield League have folded due to a lack of players. Their reserves pulled out midway through last season as a lot of the first team left and they havent really been able to get enough commited players to have a squad. I notice that Moorside seem to have relocated and are using Marsden's Fall Lane ground this season (in Hudds League Div 3). Certainly an easier trip than going over to Compton although was decent facilities there. Dewsbury seem to have been readmitted to Div 3. Almondbury WMC name change to Almondbury Athletic. Couple of new teams in Reserve Div 4 - a couple of teams have been told they may get promoted this week to Reserve Div 3!!! - nice of them to do that a few days before season starts!

Is there a full list of who has joined / left the Huddersfield and Wakey leagues? RE: Moorside, seems a weird move given they are a lancashire side.

Ovenden WR dropped out of the YAL supreme division today. Shame, nice little setup. I think a few of their lads joined Huddersfield Amateur.

Yes, very sad. They regrouped after a season out about three years ago but unfotunately haven't been close to regaining their past glories.
