Don't know if 3pm counts as strange on a Sunday but that's when Jersey Bulls are hosting Fleet Spurs on August 25.

August 18 - Notts County v Wrexham KO 3pm. Shifted from the Saturday because of a clash with Forest (thought the reason the National League released their fixtures after the EPL/EFL was to avoid such clashes).

Considering that many leagues with fewer resources than the National can successfully schedule numerous clubs' fixtures around groundshares, it's not really acceptable that the National couldn't adequately schedule the season's fixtures for Notts Co and (previously) FCUM around these clashes. Although TV, cup runs etc will always get in the way later in the season, it's daft that one the first things to happen after the initial fixture release is the rescheduling of a couple of games because of clashes. On a slight tangent, no sooner had the Isthmian released its fixtures than a few on August 24 had to be rescheduled because of FA Cup commitments due the FA fiddling around with the exemptions and clearly not communicating that fact to the league beforehand. Not that any of this resulted in any Sunday games, mind.

Not that any of this resulted in any Sunday games, mind. For Saturday 24th August, the NPL scheduled 4 of the 6 Premier sides involved in the FA Cup to play each other, which looks like a deliberate (sensible) policy to me. I can't work out why Stalybridge and Radcliffe weren't scheduled to play each other though. Their planned opponents meet each other on the bank holiday Monday (Witton and Nantwich), it would have made more sense to play that Saturday 24th. We are amongst those whose bank holiday game is at risk of short notice postponement for an FA Cup replay (Radcliffe). The NPL managed a few clashes with Bury when we played there, but were better than the Conference. Best of all were NWCFL, who didn't schedule any clashes as I recall.

While there's nothing unusual about women's games kicking off on a Sunday afternoon, on 17 November a couple of clubs are doing the now-traditional one game per season for their women's team at their main ground. Both are at 3pm rather than the usual 2pm. Liverpool vs Everton and Spurs vs Arsenal. Both home teams are selling tickets via their main club websites.
Cambridge City - on a tour of places we've never heard of and can't spell.
