As things stand (with Bulls outside Super League and attracting relatively small crowds), Horsfall may be the least worst option. Despite investment in the mid-80s (mostly for major speedway events), crumbling Odsal has only too obviously had its day, however much or little the RFL charges in rent. There aren't many options. Valley Parade is too big - and probably too expensive - for matches outside Super League while Tetley's Stadium, Dewsbury, isn't in Bradford - and its capacity isn't any bigger than a revamped Horsfall. Bulls couldn't play at either Halifax (The Shay) or Leeds (Headingley) because those stadia are fully subscribed (and neither is in Bradford). Mount Pleasant, Batley, is too small, as is Farsley Celtic's Throstle Nest. The only other option is Cougar Park, Keighley, which at least is in the Bradford Met area. Given Cougar Park has accommodated 8,000+ for rugby league in the fairly recent past (a Challenge Cup quarter-final against St Helens), it might be Bulls' best bet. Hard to see a beached whale like Bradford Bulls ever having the wherewithal to build a new stadium of their own.

What do the RFL do if Bulls have decided to walk? An amicable arrangement where everyone's a winner has to be the favourite outcome.

Bulls quit Odsal to share with Dewsbury: https://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/...-tetley-stadium-for- https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/...eave-odsal-dewsbury/ RFL tweet: Bradford’s request to use the Tetley’s Stadium in Dewsbury as a home ground remains subject to the approval of the RFL Board, who are charged with making a decision in the best interests of the sport. We have not received an application, and it would be inappropriate for us to comment until we do. BPA FC (originally a rugby league club, of course) haven't given up on sharing Horsfall with Bulls (or any rugby league club with 'Bradford' in its name). Avenue are even talking about launching a professional rugby league club of their own! https://bpafc.com/...nsists-avenue-owner/

A temporary move but looks like they are away from Odsal for good! Makes sense financially and maybe a move to BPA is the long term thinking with the connection between the pair. Nice ground is Dewsbury but having walked there from station on a Sunday due to lack of buses the difference is about the same as Odsal from Interchange and boy do you need a pint after it!

Last Bradford Bulls game at Odsal will be against Championship rivals Sheffield Eagles on September 1 (3.0). Social media suggests Bradford will pay circa £2,000 a game at Dewsbury, a saving of more than £30,000 on their Odsal deal. Re KK: though still an uphill walk, Crown Flatt was a bit closer to both bus and railway stations! The pub halfway up, on the left, used to be popular with visiting fans. Probably closed down now.

So does this mean Odsal will be empty now? Or are there other sports/clubs going to be using it? And if the former, is there a long term future for the venue?

Nobody else uses Odsal now - and that's unlikely to change. I would say the stadium, a crumbling relic, does not have any future. Whether the north of England's foremost hole in the ground can safely be filled in, and the site transformed into something else, remains to be seen.

Quite a critical statement from the RFL and if Bulls show no credible evidence of a plan to return to the city what do the RFL intend to do about it or more importantly what can they do about it?

With the RFL owning the lease for Odsal and with no tenants for 2020 then is this a case of the RFL throwing their toys out of the pram?
The feeling of utter devastation when you pick up your mug and realise you already finished your tea.

The 'Last Game at Odsal Stadium' on Sunday (September 1) will be a double-header. A challenge match between GB Police and HM Prison Service acts as a curtain-raiser to the Bradford Bulls versus Sheffield Eagles Championship fixture. Bradford have ceased issuing match programmes. No indication a souvenir brochure (or similar) is being prepared to mark the occasion. Maybe the T&A will step up to the plate. https://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/...gles--gameday-guide-

No idea if anything was done paperwise to mark the sad occasion of Bulls departure but 7,531 were in attendance for the 30-10 win over Sheffield Eagles.

The inaugural Physical Disability Rugby League Finals Day on Sunday (September 29) is to be hosted by Selby RUFC (neither Headingley nor Weetwood, both Leeds, are available). In the semi-finals, Leeds meet Warrington while Castleford face Wakefield. Free admission, free parking. Gates open at 1.30. The semis start at 2.0, the final at 3.0. Sandhill Lane is a tidy little ground.
