I do wonder about the appointment of the man who was originally appointed as 'technical consultant' to the sacked previous manager and then 'Sporting Director'. Reading are in a pattern of 'appoint a manager-lose a few-sack a manager', a policy which shows nothing other than a likelihood of slipping down the Championship plughole. Admittedly this a view from afar but current developments don't fill me with optimism for the season.

New Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson says he wants to be the manager who "got the club up and running again" after being appointed on a contract until 2022. The ex-Bolton and Bradford manager, 51, replaces Jack Ross, who was sacked on 8 October after winning five of their first 11 League One games this term.

Ex-England defender and Macclesfield manager Sol Campbell has been named boss of Southend United on a contract until 2022. Campbell's former Portsmouth team-mate Hermann Hreidarsson and ex-Manchester United striker Andy Cole will form part of his coaching team at Roots Hall.

The Chairman just doesn't have the cash to pay bills - local suppliers getting their money so late - or not at all - players not paid for months - so winding up orders with Sainsbury paying them - except now that Sainsbury has pulled out, who's going to pay them? - Chairman's companies are not doing well at all - his companies accounts late at Companies' House - the club's accounts a year late - no money to build the ground that's been promised for at least 17 years - chairman's ego prevents investment/new owners - team full of free transfers and loan players - I could go on and on

Really surprised by this one. Whilst I acknowledge MK have had a dismal run, Tisdale got them promoted last season at the first attempt and given time is a very good manager. I cant see him being out of work for long.

I'd have thought O'Neil could do better for himself than Stoke at the moment. Shades of Coleman quitting Wales for Sunderland maybe, though their problems ran deeper. Meanwhile Morecambe have done alright in appointing Derek Adams as their new boss today.
