Whats happened to Leicester Road on your maps? Should they get promoted I sincerely hope your projections are wrong. Brocton, Lichfield and Uttoxeter into the UCL and LR into the MFL with visits to Oswestery when Lutterworth and the Leicester teams are 10 miles away or less?

I know they're only projections but I do hope they're wrong..Frown

The UCL won the right to run the new step 5 league. This league will cover the north-central Midland (Staffs, Derbys, Notts, potentially north Leics & a few Lincs clubs). The FA released a map showing the areas these leagues will cover & which leagues had won the rights to run those leagues.

So the Leicestershire clubs get scattered in all directions yet again. For a county in the centre of the country it’s a joke.

Surely that is likely to happen in the centre of the country,
If it happened in say Cornwall, that would be a joke!

Being in Nottinghamshire, it's hard to see any advantage to the reorganisation.

The A50-A52 corridor, will make it easy for clubs to travel across the region. If the FA created the new step 5 league in the East Midlands/East Coastal region. The road network in Lincolnshire are pretty poor and there’s very few clubs in the region. If you look at the current situation in the north & Midlands. We have the NL, NCEL & UCL on the Eastern side of the country. With only the NWCL & MFL in the West.

It was similar last season in North Essex and Suffolk with the additional league at Step 3. It meant Essex & Suffolk clubs were in different divisions but it cut down on overall travelling across Step 3.

Travel will reduce at Step 5 next season overall but increase at Step 6.
Groups of individual clubs may find the opposite is true.

The Step 6 EMCL has a relatively small footprint. It looks as though the 'new' UCL 1 which will involve most of the clubs (14 of 19) clubs from this season's EMCL will probably stretch further north, south and east and as far west, and presumably have a slightly lower standard of football with the loss of the top 4 (Heanor, Dunkirk, Sherwood and Eastwood?). I think the oversized Step 5 MFL, with Newark Flowserve, Selston etc travelling to Haughmond and vice-versa could have been avoided more easily without the two UCL Premier divisions. I hope they think seriously about how they arrange their league cup.

Very Good work (as always) but in list as at 20/11, you now have Portland United promoted to SLW (step 4) but also still in Wessex Prem (step 5) as well.

Don't know if this is possible, I remember last season a projection bit for step 3, in which it had 2 central leagues in it. (One East and 1 west) for step 3, hope you understand that.

Just wondering if it could be done this season, thought it was cool, awesome that projection last season, thanks.

I could make several versions of each step, but it takes a considerable amount of my time. So I stick with what I think will be the most likely outcome. What I can’t second guess, is the relegations from step 6 & whether 2 teams will be promoted from any step 7 league.

You can cut the 88 clubs at step 3 anyway you like, but as long as it’s the same 88 clubs no arrangement changes how balanced or equal it is in relation to step 2.

I think there’s an argument for this split on travel grounds but having Truro in a “central” league stretches credulity.

Not really, Truro to the Birmingham clubs is about 25>30 miles less than to the West London sides.

Northwood, Threave Rovers, Arsenal, Rangers (the real ones, NOT qpr),Watford, Rochdale, queen of the south and a few others.

That doesn’t mean calling a league containing Truro “central” any more credible.

I believe that the current split at step 3, allows the FA to address the southwards drift at step 2. I doubt the FA are going to do any other split.

Don't know if this is possible, I remember last season a projection bit for step 3, in which it had 2 central leagues in it. (One East and 1 west) for step 3, hope you understand that.

Just wondering if it could be done this season, thought it was cool, awesome that projection last season, thanks.

Yes Oliver that's the one I'm on about thanks I'm surprised you've have same slack over it as this mentioned last season about having 2 Midland leagues in step 3 with generally a good response to it I suppose last season a few people brought it up. These idiots should be ashamed of themselves (for all winching and whining over making 2 Midland leagues in step 3) Instead of saying and more importantly stating something positive and true like thank you Oliver for that decent reply wanting to improve step 3 by making it 2 Central leagues in it. Instead all these idiots could do is winch and whine whine I guess it makes these idiots one of them.

There aren’t two midland league here though are there? Taking the same clubs and rearranging them doesn’t mean there are suddenly enough clubs to make two midland division. This arrangement has some merit but don’t pretend it is something it quite obviously isn’t. And calling someone an idiot for pointing out the Truro (plus Blackfield & Langley, Hungerford, Paulton Rovers, Poole Town, Salisbury, Swindon Supermarine, Thatcham, Taunton, Weston-Super-Mare and Wimborne) aren’t in the Midlands says more about you than anyone else.
