Amazingly I got some nice bottled beer from my local Co-op (Mid counties HQ based in Leamington) , they had the full range of Hillside Brewery

And a nice cider called sideburns from

The Co-op have come up trumps in the lockdown, had some nice localish pies and off course their lardy cakes are first class.

My nearest Co-Op is a bit of a walk away, so I’ll probably wait a while before heading up to try.

My local M&S is presently selling Simcoe Pale Ale 500ml from Butcombe Brewery near Bristol for just £1 a bottle, apparently to clear (though the BBE dates still seem to be October 2020). It’s not the most exciting beer they do, but still a bargain at that price. Every so often, they do three-for-a-fiver on their other stuff. I really like their Irish Oatmeal Stout.

I just cancelled Flavourly after receiving two really ordinary batches. Still using Beer52 and today my first hand-picked box from Honest Brew has arrived. Not cheap mind, but the good stuff isn't!

Cheers for that. Doing a lot of 'offers' for food and drink atm so probably wont be ordering from them again.
Will look at the two you mention.

A bit off topic but if you like cheese I had this delivered today

My beer choices here are limited. Even a half decent French beer tends to hide behind being either from Flanders or the Alsace. The supermarket always has a reasonable selection of the major Belgium brands, often with new variations - four different Grimbergen beers, and none of them Brown. For that matter, none brewed in Grimbergen.

This one is from Breton, and claims its heritage as Celtic. Ble Noir is a Buckwheat, a gluten free grain, widely used by the Bretons, the beer is dark, but not black. It is good, very good.

Just been to Buckingham Garden Centre they have a good selection of local bottled beers from Bucks, Northants and Oxon. Porters, Stouts, Ruby, Chestnut, Blondies and IPA. Sadly no local cider.

Interesting brew, small batch craft brew. Best thing to come out of MK since the A421.

Recently ordered a dozen bottles from Peakstones Rock brewery at Alton. Collection from the Crossways micropub at Blythe Bridge. Bottle conditioned but all quite disappointing and had little or no condition.

A gift from the pharmacy was 8 bottles of Titanic Stout, finished those and now on the excellent Oakham Inferno, a really excellent bottled beer and 4 for £6 in Morrisons. Being strict with myself though, just one bottle each evening, trying to lose a bit more weight.

That sounds very interesting, will look out for that.

My top beers for May:
1) Cloudwater Path for Smiles (single hop series 09) - NEIPA - Cloudwater delivery
2) Brew York Hey You Gyles - Imperial Stout - Hip Hops beer shop
3) Little Monster Takk - Table beer - Hip hops (very tasty for a 3.4% beer)
4) Full Circle Lake of Stars - APA - Hip hops
5) Thirst Class Oatmeal Stout - Thirst Class
Also sourced beers from Beer52, Sainsburys, Alphabet Brewing and Donkeystone

I was in Tesco the other day and on the clearance shelf there was a six bottle pack of Beck's Blue non-alcoholic beer on sale for just £3 which is just 50 pence per bottle! A bargain, although I suspect that most of you wouldn't drink it even if you were paid £3 to do so.
